Literacy Nights at the Theater
There's no better way to introduce families to the wonders of live theater than with the magic, the mystery, the memory of CATS. What began as a musical about cats after Andrew Lloyd Webber picked up a book of poems in an airport bookshop has become one of the longest-running shows in Broadway's history. Winner of seven Tony Awards® including Best Musical, CATS features 20 of Andrew Lloyd Webber's timeless melodies, including the hit song, "Memory."
Presented by Broadway San Diego, and to support literacy programs, The Council is selling tickets to the June 3, 2008, 7:30 p.m., performance. Tickets are $95 (including a meet-the-cast showcase after the performance) and $75. Seventy-five dollars of every ticket sold goes directly to literacy programs throughout San Diego County. Reserve your seats today by contacting The Council at 619-574-1641.
